Bowentown

Monday 20th of February
We began our day with an assembly outside the staffroom. We lined up into our classes to have karakia. Some people weren’t doing the karakia they were just talking. When we finished karakia, we were all directed into cars or the bus. I travelled in the bus, so when we were directed into vehicles, I walked straight to the bus.  When I hopped in the bus, I saw a spare seat. I hurried to sit down and as I turned around I saw my brother Kimiora. He said “You’re embarrassing me”. It was ok. I get use to that. A few minutes later we were in Bowentown. I walked out with Kimiora and I stepped out of the bus and ran to a special place to change into my togs. When I finished I felt a little chilly so I sprinted down the hill to the ocean, fast like a cheetah. When I jumped into the water Miss Short said “Move away, move away”. I moved away as soon as she said it. Not long after it was lunch time. For morning tea we all had an ice-block. It was delicious. While we were eating our ice-blocks some seniors were jumping off a hill onto the sand dunes. Some little kids were trying to copy but from a smaller hill. They couldn’t do it. When Miss Short blew her whistle she yelled out “You can all go for a swim now”. Mrs Jones said “But you have to wait for the teachers first”, so we did. We waited, and waited, and waited, until finally the teachers came and Mrs Jone’s daughter came for a swim too. When we ran into the water, it was chilly so I ran back out. While I was out of the water I was making a sand castle with Raumati & Saint because they were out too. We were almost finished when we decided to go for another swim. It was a bit warmer then. Suddenly, “Ouch! I’ve got bitten by a crab, it is so sore”, but I handled it. Then it got to painful so I ran back out after a couple of minutes. Later I went back in but I did not go by the side where Mrs Jones was because that’s where the crabs were. Yeah it was lunchtime. I couldn’t really walk so I just tried hard to. Yummy I had pizza and many different foods. After I had my lunch I got changed somewhere secretly. A couple of minutes later we had to pick up rubbish but I didn’t, I just ate grapes with Trinity and they were delicious. Then it was time to go. I rushed to the bus so I could be in the front this time and I wouldn’t be by Kimiora. I was by Carlya instead. She kept on talking and talking and talking. When we were almost at school I fell asleep because I was tired. I woke up yah its home time and even better it was the weekend. That night I had a good night’s sleep.
